Gregory Orick, 'Big Greg,' 61 years old, of Bonita Springs, FL, watched his final sunrise on Sunday June 8, 2014. Greg is best known and respected in Southwest Florida as Big Greg of Greg Orick Marine Construction. In his professional life Greg achieved great success because he truly loved his work, and there was no job too big.

Greg was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to travel to the far reaches of the globe to experience other cultures. He spent most of his free time gardening or hunting, but enjoyed nothing more than having his fishing line in the water, waiting on a bite. He was a true man of the land that could always make something from nothing.

Big Greg Orick should be remembered not for what he got, but for what he shared, not for his competence, but for his character, and not for his success, but for his significance. His contagious smile and generous heart will be missed by so many.
